Merry Christmas to you and yours!

Merry Christmas to all!  We are wishing you and yours a very Peachy Christmas and holiday season!

Its December 25, and we hope that where ever you are, you are enjoying the day.  No matter your religion or beliefs, the week of the Winter Solstice is time for celebration.  Finally, the days start getting longer and warmer – from December 21 for the next six months.

The season of lights has been celebrated for hundreds, if not thousands, of years.  In fact, many believe that the Christmas celebration of the birth of Christ was moved to December 25 in order to align with pagan solstice parties during the darkest time of the year.

The story of a bright, shining star in the night sky, guiding people to the lowly manger is particularly compelling during the months when we yearn for more light.  When I think of the Christmas season, the first image that comes to mind is that of a crisp, cold night with angels bringing good tidings to all mankind.

Have yourself a Merry Little Christmas!

While there can be a letdown after the excitement of Christmas Day, you can keep the spirit of the season going all year.  One might even say that “sustainability,” or taking less than you give, is a gift you can give year round.

You don’t have to subscribe to any particular religion or belief system.  Perhaps you are not even convinced about global climate change.  Yet, you can give a very meaningful gift to the world no matter what.  Reduce your consumption, recycle what you can, and re-use what others no longer need.  Or at least make a New Year’s Resolution to do so!

No matter how you spend the day, look for simple joy in a moment with loved ones.  There is no greater gift than that!

Merry Christmas!
